About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Design, this position will provide assistance, advice and support to the Technical Services Program Area to ensure delivery of engineering designs of capital projects including civil works, asset renewals, leisure and recreation assets and other projects. This role will actively participate in cost effective technical investigations and in the development of design documentation, for civil works and assist/supervise the services of contractors as required.

The ideal applicant will have:-

  • Strong background in engineering design, particularly in civil works and asset renewals
  • Proven experience in delivering capital projects, including leisure and recreation assets
  • Skilled in developing and managing design documentation for various projects
  • Ability to conduct cost-effective technical investigations and provide insightful recommendations
  • Experience in supervising contractors and ensuring the successful delivery of project outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on practical and sustainable solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality engineering practices
  • Desirable experience in managing infrastructure-related projects
